The Client Technologies Specialist is knowledgeable on the usage and support of a collection of personal computer platforms (a range of laptops and desktops, both Windows and Mac) or technical architectures, and products that run on those platforms. The individual performs a full range of computer administration functions with minimal direction and/or technical support. The individual will install and configure system hardware, software, printers and verify network connectivity. The individual shall perform advanced troubleshooting and vendor technical liaison functions. The individual shall design and implement trouble shooting and correction plans, develop and coordinate user training programs and documenting all processes and procedures. The Specialists are responsible for collaborating with Technical Architecture Specialist, Functional Architects, Programmers and vendors to coordinate and enhance the use of the platform and facilitate migration to new versions of the platform.

• Years of Relevant Experience: 1-3 years in desired environment Preferred Education: 4-year college degree or equivalent technical study Role
• Assist in coordination of testing changes, upgrades and new software products, ensuring systems will operate correctly in current and future environment.
• Make recommendations on functional and technical improvements to the environment.
• Participate in performance and volume analysis and design.
• Participate in meetings and projects as assigned
• Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, software and other associated hardware connected to a user’s device.
• Provide limited training to the end users for them to achieve minimal performance in computing.
• Work with other groups outside/within Client Technologies to resolve end user issues.
• Participate in Disaster Recovery exercises to ensure preparedness in the event of an emergency.
• Utilize and contribute to the Client Technologies Knowledge-based application.
• Perform duties in accordance with established Service Level Agreements and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Maintain IT security standards as well as customer confidentiality.
• Install and configure internal hardware components such as memory, disk, in PCs to maintain or enhance system operation and capabilities.
• Research, recommend, install, and test hardware, software, and network configurations for PC's to provide an information system which effectively meets agency needs.
• Perform troubleshooting and fault isolation on PC's, and related system components in simple configurations to maintain system availability.
• Test and evaluate software and hardware products to determine applicability and value to agency operations.
• Ability to perform work requiring lifting up to 50 lbs. and/or physical exertion may be required, this work may require crawling, climbing, kneeling, and the ability to grasp small objects with both hands.
• Masks should be worn when social distancing is not an option and when around additional staff

  • Typical troubleshooting issues: slow pc, viruses, malware, reimage pc, recover data, load applications and use tools to fix issues. (Required 2 Years)
  • A+ certification (Highly Desired 1 Years)
  • Microsoft Office 2010/13/16 and Desktop applications support (Highly Desired 1 Years)
  • Windows 10 exposure (Highly Desired 1 Years)
  • Client-side networking experience (Highly Desired 1 Years)
