Description:

The Project Administrator will be responsible for managing projects end to end from initiation to closing according to Project Management Institute (PMI) based standards and best practices, and using standard PMO templates, tools and processes. Provides project support for departments, enterprise and facility projects including coordination of resources, planning and executing user acceptance testing, and other duties as needed to support successful project implementation. The professional in this position will also support the PMO dashboard reporting and standards development and business process improvement events and reporting of results. Competencies required include good communication skills (both oral and written), interpersonal skills, the ability to follow written and oral instructions, the ability to multitask, the ability to work with confidential information, the ability to work in high-stress environments, and the demonstrated ability to assist customers in an effective, efficient, and elegant manner.

Required / Desired Skills

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university & Three (3) years of full-time professional project management experience (Required 7 Years)
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle, systems implementation, network and ancillary technical requirements (Required 3 Years)
  • Ability to facilitate meetings with participants across multiple levels within the department (Required 3 Years)
  • Manage relationships with vendors and contracts, project sponsors, team members and stakeholders (Required 3 Years)
  • A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification issued by Project Management Institute preferred (Highly Desired 1 Years)
  • Experience with LEAN, Six Sigma or other process improvement methodology (Required 1 Years)
  • Must be able to provide direction to a project team including assignments of individual responsibilities, tasks and technical functions. (Required 3 Years)
  • Strong relationship building and management skills, collaboration and communication skills. (Required 3 Years)
  • Ability to use a variety of project management tools and an understanding of the change management process. (Required 3 Years)
  • Prepare and present project deliverables including project management, risk management, budget and quality management, and communication plans, schedules, status report plans and quality management (Required 3 Years)
  • Successful in planning and managing multiple medium-to-large projects of significant magnitude in terms of complexity, cost, time-constraints, internal and external staffing to completion. (Required 3 Years)
  • Ability to manage and proactively escalate critical issues for immediate resolution by effectively demonstrating decision making, problem management and resolution skills. (Required 3 Years)
