Description:
***Local Candidates Only***Onsite
We are seeking a highly skilled Application Architect with deep expertise in .NET and SQL Server to lead the design and modernization of enterprise-level applications. This role is responsible for driving enterprise solution architecture across Microsoft and Java-based platforms, ensuring the delivery of secure, scalable, maintainable, and reusable solutions.
The ideal candidate will lead the adoption of AI-augmented development—specifically leveraging GitHub Copilot across teams—to accelerate delivery while upholding strict standards for security, accessibility (WCAG), and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
• Architectural Leadership: Design secure, scalable .NET (C#/ASP.NET Core) applications and SQL Server solutions utilizing clean architecture, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), and performance optimization patterns.
• Enterprise Strategy: Develop architectures spanning multiple applications, services, APIs, databases, and integration platforms.
• Data Management: Design robust data models, advanced T-SQL (stored procedures, indexing, partitioning, Query Store tuning), and High Availability/Disaster Recovery (HA/DR) strategies for high-volume transactional systems.
• Integration: Define integration strategies for enterprise systems, including REST APIs, messaging authentication, and data exchange between diverse platforms.
• AI-Augmented Development: Drive the adoption of GitHub Copilot, including custom instructions, prompt engineering, AI-assisted refactoring, and automated code reviews/testing.
• Standards & Mentorship: Establish architecture and coding standards, design patterns, and technical best practices. Mentor development teams on effective patterns and AI tool usage.
• Modernization: Lead technical design efforts to migrate legacy systems into cloud-native applications, evaluate technical debt, and develop phased migration roadmaps.
• DevSecOps: Design and implement modern software delivery practices, including source control strategies, branching models, CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and zero-trust security principles.
• Innovation: Evaluate emerging technologies, frameworks, and software products to provide recommendations aligned with long-term technology strategies.
