We are seeking a Legal Assistant.

Roles:
• The legal assistant will help determine individual and family eligibility.
• The legal assistant will communicate critical information to clients.
• The legal assistant contributes to case preparation through administration and research.
• The legal assistant will conduct client interviews, collect facts and information, and compile case data to provide recommendations to an attorney.
• Duties will include legal research, analysis of legal papers, and drafting legal documents.
• The legal assistant assists in coordinating and communicating schedules.

Education and Experience
• Bachelors or Associate Degree Required
• Paralegal studies / Legal experience a plus!
• Customer service or call center experience

Computer skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including, building / updating / maintaining spreadsheets / documents, and utilizing Outlook for communications.

Multitasker
• Able to work efficiently / effectively in multiple databases to extract information.
• Timely management of casework, including proper documentation and case resolution
• Able to professionally pivot work demands / tasks to support the business unit.

Researcher
• Able to research / review case information and document findings accurately.
• Detail oriented

Strong Communicator
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient writer able to send clear, concise emails, including timely responses.

Organized
• Good attention to detail and organization
• Efficiently and effectively process and index documents.

Time Management
• Utilize good time management, note-taking, email organization and distribution skills.

Professional demeanor
• Professional outreach to internal / external customers (remaining professional at all times)
• Maintain confidentiality and security of documents.

Team Player
• Attend workgroup meetings and participate in discussions.
• Assist leadership team as necessary.

Working Conditions:
• Work schedule is no more than the standard 7.5 hours per day/max 37.5 hours per week.
• Hybrid work environment.
• Must be able to travel to the office in Nashville, TN.
• Training is extensive, up to 6 weeks prescheduled, virtual / in-office (by supervisor request), contractors must attend training every day to build proficiency.
