Description:

We are seeking a SharePoint Administrator who will be part of a Service Delivery Team for a large, enterprise data center. The data center is comprised of more than 7000 virtual and physical devices and 800 Web-facing applications and continues to grow. It is widely recognized for its innovative use of the latest technologies from Microsoft, VMware, Cisco, and other leading IT companies.

As the SharePoint Administrator you will be enhancing and maintaining an existing SharePoint site. Work will also involve, creating and organizing technical documentation, standard operating procedures, user guides, reports, and solution proposals.

The consultant’s responsibilities involve the following:
• Makes recommendations on functional and technical improvements to the product.
• Actively contributes as a designer.
• Provides basic product support and provide accurate and complete answers to detailed product questions in a timely manner.
• Documents all work for future reference.
• Effectively leads product tests and trials.
• Applies specific expertise to ensure that products meet defined customer objectives.
• Develops on-line source documentation as appropriate.
• Maintains documentation sites, libraries, and subscription lists.
• Identifies, creates, revises, and maintains documentation and templates needed by the Enterprise Teams.
• Develops, enhances, and maintains technical documentation for multiple
• business applications.
• Ensures appropriate control access/use of documentation materials.
• Communicates and works with customers and personnel as necessary.
• Works with Application Management Team members to enhance their understanding of end-user and technical documentation.
• Communicates accurate and useful status updates.
• Manages and reports time spent on all work activities.
• Follows quality standards.
• Able to work in a team environment.
• Completes assigned tasks.
• Effective communication skills; both written and spoken
• Reviews and prioritizes documentation service requests.
• Educates both business and technical groups on the essential need for developing and using standard documentation for all processes.
• Organizes and prepares work effectively to facilitate proactive resolution of problems, rather than reactive.
• Research problems before approaching Team Lead for assistance.
• Works with users and other enterprise personnel to ensure that the solutions meet business requirements.
• Identifies and initiates continuous improvement opportunities.
• Develops options and recommendations to assist documentation team members in resolving issues.
• Leads efforts in developing and facilitating implementation of the Service Delivery team goals and metrics.
• Develops workable, practical, measurable work plans defining activities, schedules, and tasks with Team Lead.
• Anticipates and resolves issues specific to the team.
• Determines time estimates and schedule for own work and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Identifies and tracks issues, risks, and action items.
• Three (3) years of experience as a SharePoint Administrator
• Technical knowledge and demonstrated proficiency
• Microsoft Windows Server Administration
• Microsoft Excel
• VMWare Administration
• Working in a Multi-Team Environment
• Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills
• Analytical and Customer Service Skills
• Hours: Both onsite and hybrid teleworking
